'We had an absolutely wonderful stay' - Helen and Sarah of Leicestershire. Date of stay: October 2015.
The cottage is lovely and the garden was so beautiful - we loved it. We visited Zip World and would definitely recommend it - it was so much fun. We really hope to return in the near future. Thank you again, we had the best time !
'Will recommend to others' - Keith and Marjorie of Cheshire. Date of stay: October 2015.

'Lovely cottage in a great location' - Review submitted by Krissy H of Oxfordshire. Date of stay: July 2015.
The cottage was just as described, very clean and everything we needed -especially WiFi. It's in a great location for access to the many activities in Snowdonia - sightseeing, walking, beaches and extreme adventure. We loved it and would go again. Overall rating: 5/5.
'Cottage at Rhyd' - Review submitted by Angie. Date of stay: May 2014.
A lovely clean and cosy cottage in a quiet hamlet - with a garden full of colour from rhododendrons and azaleas (at their best in May). It was well equipped and we wanted for nothing - there was scrabble, books and maps. In fact, it was a real 'home from home'. It was only a mile or so to Tan-y-bwlch station so we started our round trip on the Ffestiniog Railway from there - an excellent café there too and woodland walks. Porthmadog had all the shops we needed, petrol stations at reasonable prices and a large car park near the railway where we left our car for the day whilst travelling to Caernarvon on the Welsh Highland Railway. Our only wet day was spent at the Lloyd George museum at Llanystumdwy which we found most interesting. Excellent fish and chips at Criccieth (Castle chippy) was eaten on the seafront with beautiful views across Cardigan Bay. Our only disappointment was that storm damage had closed the railway between Porthmadog and Harlech, so we drove to Barmouth to walk across the viaduct and returned via the Fairbourne narrow gauge railway, hailed the ferryman from Barmouth who didn't mind picking up two 'old uns' to ferry back to Barmouth.
We would certainly recommend the cottage to folk who enjoy the countryside (saw the fox most mornings from the bedroom window) and if you're into mountain walking -some local walks looked quite challenging - definitely for the younger ones ! Don't think it will suit families with very young children due to the open stairs. We would certainly make a return visit and do a few more rail trips - Blaenau Ffestiniog to Conwy looked interesting from the road home. Our last stop was at Betws-y-Coed (a bustling place) where we had an excellent lunch in a railway carriage adjacent to a miniature railway and museum (with toilets). It also had a free car park for customers - parking in the village may be a problem as the place was so busy. Swallow falls was about a mile away so we did a quick visit there. A most enjoyable holiday. Overall rating: 3/5.
'Rhyd Cottage' - Review submitted by Linda. Date of stay: September 2014.
We had a brilliant weekend at this lovely cottage. Plenty of places to see and beautiful scenery. Highlight was the trip up Snowdon on the steam train. The cottage was very much 'home from home'. Everything was there for us and spotlessly clean. Lovely wood burner for our use in the evening. We will definitely be going back. Overall rating : 5/5.
'Great little cottage' - Review submitted by Ian of Kettering. Date of stay: July 2014.
Nice and clean little cottage. The cottage is in a great central location so its only a short drive to most places of interest. There is loads of great information in the cottage on things to do for all ages. There are some great walks right outside the front door which were very enjoyable. The communication with the owners from the initial booking to handing back the keys at the end of the holiday was fantastic, and to top it all it was hot and sunny all week. Overall rating: 5/5.
'Rural Welsh Cottage' - Review submitted by 'outandabout' of Berkshire. Date of stay: September 2014.
This rural stone cottage was clean and well maintained: once warmed up it remained very cosy. Ideal for walkers with plenty of boot/wet coat space. Situated in a quiet hillside hamlet, it is within reach of a wide area of Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula by car and by the narrow gauge railways from Porthmadog. Parking close by the cottage is not a problem. The countryside is beautiful, especially the nearby lake and area of temperate rainforest. This also makes it ideal for an 'away from it all' holiday. The owner could not have been more helpful and prompt in his dealings with us. Overall rating : 4/5.
'Ty Uchaf' - Review submitted by REB of Yorkshire. Date of stay: April 2014.
We have stayed in this cottage for many years and always enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful setting particularly the landscaped garden. The well-equipped cottage has been recently updated with improved facilities and a new bathroom. It is really comfortable and the log burner makes it cosy on chilly evenings. Ideally placed for exploring Snowdonia, Ffestiniog and the Harlech area, with the Ffestiniog Railway only a short walk away. Overall rating : 5/5.
'Beautiful, cosy cottage' - Review submitted by Emma of Oxford. Date of stay: October 2013.
We had a lovely time at the cottage - it was really cosy and comfortable with the log burner really adding to the homely atmosphere (we were visiting in the autumn half-term). The setting is stunning with woodland and mountain-topping walks you can do just out of the front door. It doesn't take long to get to the better-known starting points for Snowdon and the coast is close by too. With the railway and Portmeirion nearby as well as all of those beaches, we will definitely be back in the summer. There are great pubs and coffee shops in the villages and towns nearby, and the visitor guide put together by the owners is really helpful in making useful recommendations. Really nice place. Overall rating : 5/5.
'Cottage in Wales' - Review submitted by Edward from United States. Date of stay: June 2013.
Our stay was every bit of an ideal vacation as we could have hoped for. The accommodation was comfortable, quaint and fairly depicted in the ad. Perfect for two, we found it to be well located for our day trips, and cosy enough with the fireplace to spend the entire day reading and writing (very well stocked with books, travel magazines). Our host Peter was exceptional in his arrangements and communication, we felt that he definitely had our best interest in mind and was over-the-top informative on what to expect. Overall rating : 5/5.
