Snowdonia and North Wales in general is a wonderful area for a holiday. There are many, many attractions to suit all tastes, all ages, all activity levels as well as all weather conditions. Whatever the weather, there is always something to do or somewhere to go, whether you are into steam railways, castles, walking, bird watching, beaches, cycling, water sports or more adrenaline-fuelled activities such as climbing, riding zip wires or surfing man-made waves. The cottage is ideally located to reach all the major attractions and activities in the area. - Visit Portmeirion Resort, setting for The Prisoner TV series, and venue for Festival No. 6.
- Go for a trip on the Ffestiniog or Welsh Highland Railways.
- Visit the historic castles at Harlech, Caernarvon or Conwy.
- Visit the splendid National Trust Gardens at Bodnant.
- Visit the Welsh Food Centre, also in Bodnant.
- Visit wonderful beaches on the Llyn Peninsula.
- Travel to the top of the highest mountain in England and Wales on the Snowdon Mountain Railway.
- Visit the Llechwedd Slate Caverns in Blaenau Ffestiniog.
- Travel on some of Europe's longest and fastest zip wires at Zip World at their sites in Blaenau Ffestiniog and Bethesda.
- Go trampolining underground at the new Bounce Below attraction at Blaenau Ffestiniog.
- Go white water rafting or canoeing at the National White Water Centre near Bala.
- Go surfing on the newly-opened artificial wave lagoon at Surf Snowdonia at Dolgarrog.
